IQM Inclusive School Award 2025

We are proud to share our recent Inclusion Quality Mark's Inclusive School Award.
Key points and successes include:
  • Strong Inclusive Ethos: The school operates under the Outwood Grange Academy Trust's vision, prioritising student happiness, health, and engagement. There's a strong sense of belonging for all members of the school community.
  • High Academic Achievement: Key Stage 2 results show students performing above the national average in Reading, Writing, and Maths, demonstrating academic success alongside a focus on well-being.
  • Student Leadership Programs:
    • Faith Leaders: Students develop awareness of religions, lead classroom sessions and assemblies, and interact with interfaith leaders.
    • Play Leaders: Students enhance lunchtime activities, organize games, and contribute to purchasing new equipment.
    • Reading Ambassadors: Students promote a love of reading, organize fundraising events, and support the Reading Shed, a space for reading and discussion.
    • School Parliament: Students contribute to school decisions, organize fundraising for charities, and voice opinions through surveys.
  • Forest School Development: Plans are underway to create a Forest School, an outdoor learning space for all year groups, focusing on environmental awareness, skill development, and well-being. Staff will receive training to support this initiative.
